Young Turkish Diver Breaks National Record at World Cup

19-year-old Necati Gül set a new Turkish record at the World Free Diving Cup in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, diving 73 meters in 2 minutes and 18 seconds. Recognized as the youngest record-holder in Turkish Free Diving history, Gül has been preparing for 8 months for the upcoming championship in Limassol. Training rigorously in Italy and studying on scholarship at the University of Bologna, Gül aspires to achieve higher records and aims to chase a world record in October, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Turkish Republic.
