‘Zebra Mountains’ Emerge in Türkiye

As summer approaches in Türkiye’s eastern province of Van, a stunning visual phenomenon has transformed the high-altitude landscape. The partial melting of winter snow against dark, rocky slopes has created striking black-and-white stripes across the towering peaks. Locals have affectionately dubbed these breathtaking seasonal formations “zebra mountains” due to their distinct, animal-like patterns. This unique natural artwork offers a captivating farewell to winter, drawing the admiration of nature lovers and visitors alike.
