Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky claimed that 155 Chinese nationals are serving in the Russian army, allegedly recruited through social media. He said Ukraine has compiled detailed records, including names and passport numbers, and urged the US to address the issue with Russia.
Zelensky also raised concerns about possible Chinese involvement and offered to exchange captured Chinese fighters for Ukrainian prisoners.
In response, China dismissed the claims as “baseless,” stating that it advises citizens to avoid conflict zones and denies any official role in the war.
