Zelensky Claims North Korean Troops Supporting Russia in Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky claimed in his State of the Nation address that North Korea has sent troops to assist Russian forces in Ukraine. He stated that this growing alliance between Russia and North Korea goes beyond arms transfers and involves the deployment of North Korean personnel. Zelensky urged for stronger defense support from Ukraine’s allies, emphasizing the need for longer-range capabilities and increased pressure on Russia to prevent a larger conflict.

Zelensky stressed the importance of timely decisions from Ukraine’s partners, aiming for lasting peace through strength. South Korean Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun echoed the claim, while Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov dismissed it as “fake news.”
