A meteorite that entered the atmosphere over Mexico illuminated the night skies of Michoacan, Colima, and Jalisco states, causing public alarm. Michoacan’s Governor relayed that Colima University scientists confirmed the object as a meteorite. The event was recorded by locals as the meteorite transformed into a fireball.
