Historical Oil Wrestling Competition Kicks Off in Edirne

The 663rd Historical Kırkpınar Oil Wrestling started in Türkiye’s Edirne with the participation of 40 wrestlers, 32 of whom were determined by the points they collected throughout the year, and the other 8 were determined by the preliminary elimination competitions. The oil wrestling competition was listed on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List of Humanity.
