Five people were killed in a clash between Saraya al-Salam of the Sadr Group led by Moqtada Sadr and the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq Movement led by Qais Khazali in the southern Iraqi city of Basra. The tension that began late at night following the murder of Fouad Hussein, a member of the Saraya al-Salam militia, and his bodyguard in Basra center, escalated into an armed conflict in the morning.
