dozens of homes damaged after tornado hits southwestern Germany

A tornado erupted in the German state of Saarland in southwestern Germany. Due to a severe storm in the Urexweiler area of the Municipality of Marpingen, bricks on the roofs of houses flew, trees fell, and power lines were broken. According to fire department data, 50 houses sustained significant damage.

According to preliminary findings, the majority of those affected by the tornado were not permitted to return to their homes, and there were no casualties or injuries.
