Turkey to send aid to flood-ravaged Pakistan

Hundreds of people lost their lives in Pakistan, which experienced a flood in the past few days, and thousands of people were left homeless. Aid was sent from various provinces of Turkey to Pakistanis in need. More than 20 trucks carrying thousands of packages of food, clothing and hygiene kits set off from Turkey’s Karaman, Sivas, Ardahan, Kırklareli, Diyarbakır, Erzurum and Hakkari and other provinces. Packages were collected through civil aid organizations and municipalities.

In Pakistan, where heavy rains and floods have recently hit, more than a million people have contracted contagious diseases.
