The Israel Defense Forces announced that they carried out large-scale air strikes on Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon. The attacks were said to be in response to rocket attacks on northern Israel. The targets hit by warplanes, tanks, and artillery so far include military headquarters, rocket launch sites, and weapons depots, the IDF says.
