A tornado struck Lianyungang City in east China’s Jiangsu Province on Wednesday, killing one person and injuring 25, according to the local emergency management bureau. The tornado swept through 11 villages in four Lianyungang townships. The disaster affected over 2,200 villagers and damaged over 640 houses and approximately 250 hectares of farmland.
Emergency personnel responded quickly to the scene, and the injured are currently being treated.
