10 bodies were found inside of a car abandoned in front of the Governor’s Office in Zacatecas state of Mexico early on Thursday morning. After the incident, Zacatecas Governor David Monreal made a statement that he told 2 people have been arrested. “They came to leave them here in front of the palace. The victims were apparently beaten,” Monreal said. While the Mexican Ministry of Security confirmed the incident, a large-scale investigation was launched regarding the incident. Meanwhile, it’s been known that gang wars are frequent in the state of Zacatecas, where corpses are left in the middle of the street.

Andriy Portnov, former aide to ex-Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych, was shot dead in Madrid’s upscale Pozuelo de Alarcon district. Spanish authorities say unidentified gunmen opened fire as the 52-year-old was dropping off his children at school, striking him in the back and head before fleeing.
Portnov, a former MP and lawyer, fled Ukraine with Yanukovych in 2014, briefly returned in 2019, and was later sanctioned by the U.S. for alleged judicial corruption.
