Against Coronavirus (COVID-19) measures, approximately 5.000 people hit the streets of Munich city of Germany at night hours. Meanwhile German Police responded to unauthorized demonstration without any delay. Later on clash broke out between the police and the demonstrators after police prevented demonstrators, who wanted to reach city center. In the clash, demonstrators have shown aggression, and police used tear gas and baton from time to time, according to police statement. It’s been stated that 11 people have taken into custody in the demonstration. Also it’s been stated that in the demonstration, which injured a police officer and journalist, 14 crime has been reported, including displaying emblems of illegal organizations and violent resistance against police.
On the other hand, the permitted COVID-19 demonstration, which was expected to be held in Munich yesterday evening, was cancelled. The German media stated that calls started to be made under the name of “march” in the following hours on social media platforms.
