At least 11 people, including 8 in Sharkey County and 3 in Humphreys County, died due to the tornado in the state of Mississippi, located in the southeast of the USA. Many homes and buildings were damaged, power lines and trees were knocked down, and thousands of people were left without power.
Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves stated that search and rescue teams continue to work.
