A 12-year-old girl, Eylul Kılıç, was miraculously rescued from rubble 147 hours after the earthquake that shook Türkiye. Teams heard the little girl’s voice while listening to the 8-story building and reached her after an hour of effort.
An heartbreaking moment arose as the little girl, who had spent the night at the building to celebrate a relative’s birthday, answered the teams’ question on whether she was hungry or not by saying, “No, I am full; I already ate.”
