The number of people who died due to the ongoing floods caused by heavy rains in Afghanistan increased to 150 and the number of people injured increased to 114. Many settlements are still under water, and serious damage has occurred to the electricity and communication infrastructure in some areas in the affected provinces, which are Takhar, Baghlan, Ghor, and Herat.

Noting that the flood disaster mostly affected Barka and Baghlan-e-Markazi, Baghlan Deputy Governor Molla Alam Majidi stated that they expect the death toll to increase.
