Vitali Klitschko, the mayor of Kyiv, Ukraine’s capital, said in a statement that 16 Russian missiles launched into Kyiv were destroyed by the air defense system. Klitschko, who warned the people of Kyiv about power cuts, said that 40 percent of the city residents were left without electricity, and the teams started work to repair the lines. Three people were injured and at least 2 houses were damaged in the explosions, according to local sources.
Russia launched a large-scale missile attack on Ukraine, according to Ukraine’s Odessa Governor Maksym Marchenko, and 21 missiles fell on Odessa. Noting that the missile fragments hit a building, Marchenko stated that there were no injuries in the incident.
