According to local authorities, 17 people were killed and 3 others were injured in a restaurant fire in Changchun, the capital of northeast China’s Jilin Province. Firefighters rushed to the scene to assist with the rescue. The injured are being treated in a nearby hospital, and the incident’s cause is being investigated.
Russian Presidential aide Nikolay Patrushev announced that President Vladimir Putin signed the draft strategy for the development of the Russian Navy through 2050.
Patrushev stated that the final draft was signed on May 30, following its preparation by the Ministry of Defense and revision by the Maritime Board. The strategy incorporates proposals from various federal institutions and organizations. The initiative was launched after a Kremlin meeting in July 2024.
