An event was held in Cologne, Germany, on May 19, Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day. National Athlete Ali Uzun, who made a bicycle tour within the scope of the event, ended his 191.9 km bicycle ride at the Turkish Consulate General’s residence in Cologne. Turan Kaya, Consul General of Turkey in Cologne, welcomed the national athlete and presented a plaque.
Ali Uzun said, “The distance was too long, 191.9 km. Later, when I shared my opinion with the consulate, they were very friendly. With their support and your motivation, I completed 191.9 km.” In addition to the Turkish officers serving at the NATO base, the students from Turkey also attended the event.
The event ended with Mert Aksoylu’s accordion concert.
