The capital Dhaka will host the 19th Asian Art Biennial Bangladesh 2022, which will exhibit hundreds of various artworks by hundreds of artists.
The event, which began on Thursday and will last a month, will feature 649 pieces by 493 artists from over 100 nations.
Six artists received honorary awards, and three received grand prizes.
After the jury’s chairman, artist Rafiqun Nabi, presented the winners, KM Khalid, Bangladesh’s State Minister for Cultural Affairs, accepted the prizes on behalf of the Prime Minister.
