An Electric Vehicle (EV) dropped from the 3th floor of the Chinese electric car manufacturer NIO’s headquarters in Shanghai, China. After the accident, company officials announced that 2 people inside the vehicle lost their lives. Officials also stated that the cause of the accident isn’t known yet.

“We are very saddened by this accident and express our deep condolences to the colleagues and partner employees who died. After the accident, the company cooperated with the public security department to initiate the investigation and analysis procedures for the cause of the accident as soon as possible. Based on the analysis of the situation on the scene, it can be preliminarily confirmed that this is an accident and has nothing to do with the vehicle itself,” NIO said in their official statement.
