This year’s Nobel prizes in physics, medicine, chemistry, literature and economics were awarded to their owners at a ceremony held at the Concert House in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden.
The physics prizes were awarded to Alain Aspect, John F. Clauser and Anton Zeilinger. The medicine prize was awarded to Svante Paabo. The chemistry prizes were given to Carolyn R. Bertozzi, Morten Meldal and K. Barry Sharpless. The literature prize was received by Annie Ernaux. Lastly, the economics prizes were given to Ben S. Bernanke, Douglas W. Diamond and Philip H. Dybvig.
Russian and Belarusian officials were not invited to the ceremony held in Stockholm this year. Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, the award ceremonies could not be held in 2020 and 2021.
