A 22-day-old baby girl was found in an abandoned wooden box in the Ganges River in Uttar Pradesh, India. The baby was taken to the hospital by the authorities for health checks. The Police said that the reason for the baby’s abandonment was not clear, but that she was in a good health. Uttar Pradesh officials stated that she was taken under the protection of the Indian government.
