Three new eruptions have occurred at Popocatepetl Volcano in the last 24 hours. It was stated that the ash from the crater spread towards the west and northwest due to the wind, and moderate ash rain could occur in the settlements. Authorities warned the citizens to stay away from the crater of the volcano as new moderate eruptions are expected in the coming days.
The number of eruptions recorded at Popocatepetl Volcano since the beginning of the year has increased to 608. A total of 113 eruptions were recorded on the volcano during 2022.
