An armed group attacked the crowd during a mass held in the town of New Kru in Liberia, local sources stated. Thirty people, including 17 women and 11 children, were killed in a stampede where people attempted to escape the area following the armed attack. A person carrying a knife taken into custody after the incident, and the investigation continues, officials said.
