A fire broke out for an unknown reason at a police station in Ismailia, Egypt, at night. The Egyptian Ministry of Health stated that 38 people were injured. Emergency responders brought the flames in the building, which had become unusable, under control after approximately 3 hours. An investigation has been launched into the incident.
According to official data from the statistics agency in Egypt, a total of 203 people died, and 855 people were injured in 49,300 fires in 2022.
