At 11:29 local time, a 4.5-magnitude earthquake occurred in Bingöl province of Türkiye, where over 50,000 people were killed by two powerful earthquakes on February 6. Citizens rushed out to the streets in panic. The earthquake was felt in the surrounding cities as well. However, no damage was reported.
Gümüşkanat Waterfall Draws Visitors in Eastern Türkiye
Standing at nearly 60 meters, Gümüşkanat Waterfall in Bitlis’ Mutki district is among Türkiye’s tallest and most scenic waterfalls. Located near Gümüşkanat village, 25 km from the district center, the waterfall flows year-round, even in summer.
Visitors like Yaprak Yeşim Doğan from Mersin praised the natural beauty, saying they were “amazed” by the view. Nature enthusiasts called for the site to be promoted for tourism.
