A 4.6 magnitude earthquake struck Yeşilyurt district in Malatya at 12:34, with a depth of 17.3 kilometers, according to Turkish authorities. Felt in nearby provinces, the earthquake, fortunately, resulted in no adverse effects or damages, according to reports.

“A big earthquake occurred last night and it was felt very much in our village. It was very scary. We heard sounds from underground. We couldn’t even get inside our house and we spent the night in a tent. We are waiting for urgent help from the authorities,” said a local.
