A deadly accident occurred when the ground on the terrace of a 2-storey restaurant in touristic Majorca, the largest of the Balearic islands of Spain, collapsed. Emergency service officials said that 4 people died and 16 people were injured as a result of the incident. Saying that the terrace probably collapsed due to excessive weight, police began to investigate the incident.
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez shared his condolences to the relatives of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to the injured on social media.
