In the city of Abu Zabad, located in the Kordofan province of Sudan, a wedding ceremony ended in disaster. A person shot and killed 4 people during the wedding ceremony after opening fire into the air with an automatic firearm. In the footage recorded by the wedding attendees, it was seen that the man who shooting into the air continued pulling the trigger while lowering the firearm to the ground.

Budapest is set to host the Organization of Turkic States (TDT) Informal Summit on May 20–21, marking the first time a country with observer status, Hungary, will host the event. The city has been decorated with TDT flags ahead of the summit, which will take place at the historic Varkert Bazar near the Danube.
Leaders from Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Hungary are expected to attend. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will also hold bilateral talks during his visit.
The summit will focus on deepening strategic cooperation among Turkic states, with discussions on economic ties, security, and cultural heritage. The event will conclude with the adoption of the Budapest Declaration.
