An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 occurred in the Caspian Sea, 52 kilometers away from Khachmaz city of Azerbaijan. The earthquake was felt in many cities, including the capital Baku. No statement has been made yet regarding the loss of life or property.

Syrian President Ahmed al-Shara visited the International Monetary Fund (IMF) headquarters in Washington during his talks with US President Donald Trump. He was welcomed by IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva.
Georgieva said on social media, “It was a privilege to host President Al-Shara at the IMF. We discussed the economic transformation Syrians need and deserve, and I reiterated the IMF’s readiness to assist through technical support to key institutions.”
