A 5.8-magnitude earthquake occurred at a depth of 45 km in the city of Chiautla de Tapia in the Puebla state of Mexico at 14.03 local time yesterday. Many Mexicans left their homes and workplaces and went out onto the streets in the state of Puebla, as well as in the surrounding states of Morelos, Guerrero, Oaxaca, Tlaxcala and the capital, Mexico City, where the jolt was felt. No deaths or material damage have been reported yet.
