Authorities at the Türkiye’s Edirne İpsala border gate intercepted 51 irregular immigrants attempting to travel to Greece by concealing themselves in the trailers of two trucks. The refugees were discovered during x-ray checks, abruptly ending their European journey. The trucks, with Albanian license plates, underwent inspections by Edirne’s Anti-Smuggling and Intelligence Directorate teams, leading to the detection of 24 individuals in the first truck and 27 in the second. Following the discovery, the drivers were detained, and the captured immigrants were handed over to the Edirne Provincial Directorate of Immigration Administration.”
