According to statement released by the United States Geological Survey (USGS), a 6.2 magnitude earthquake occurred at a depth of 84 kilometers below the ground in the town of Santa Lucia Cotzumalguapa located at 33 kilometers southwest of Guatemala. While it’s been stated that the earthquake was felt in neighboring countries Mexico and El Salvador, no loss of life or property has been reported yet.
