Two people died and 12 were injured in yesterday’s 6.4 magnitude earthquake in Humboldt County, located in the northwestern US state of California, local officials said. There was extensive damage to roads and homes across Humboldt, with 79,000 homes and businesses without power after the earthquake, according to local sources.
California Governor Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency in Humboldt.
