An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.4 occurred at around 19:58 local time on the Indonesian island of Java. The earthquake, which occurred at a depth of 25 km off the coast of Yogyakarta region, caused minor damage to dozens of homes, offices, health and education centers in Yogyakarta and Central Java province. One person died, 9 people were injured. No tsunami warning was issued after the earthquake.
