A passenger bus toppled on its side while travelling on the La Magdalena bridge on the Pasto-Rumichaca road located between the cities of Pasto-Ipiales in the Narino state of Colombia. In the tragic accident, 6 people including children lost their lives and 24 people were injured. The injured were taken to nearby hospitals. In his statement to the police, the bus driver stated that the accident occurred as a result of a malfunction in the brakes. While the accident was recorded by a security camera, the bus seen while sliding on the road after it toppled onto its side as a result of entering the corner too fast. It was learned that the bus was carrying Venezuelan immigrants who wanted to go to Ecuador.
