As a result of a fire that broke out at night on the top floor of a 7-storey residential building in Nice, France, 7 people, including 3 children, died and 3 people were injured, 1 of them seriously.
The dead and injured were from the same family and of Comorian origin, Alpes-Maritimes Governor Hugues Moutouh said, also mentioning that there were people who managed to get out in time as they were close to the exit and one other who escaped the building by jumping from the window.
The Nice Prosecutor’s Office stated that the possibility of the fire being arson is high and launched an investigation into the incident.
