The 7-phase general election, which started on April 19 in India, where there are approximately 969 million registered voters, ended yesterday. The results that will determine the members of the People’s Assembly (Lok Sabha), the lower house of the parliament with 543 seats, will be announced on June 4.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is projected to win more than 350 seats and the Opposition “INDIA” alliance is projected to win more than 120 seats.
