An explosion happened in a natural gas station located in Fallujah city of Iraq’s Al Anbar Governorate. In the explosion that took place at the natural gas station in the evening, 5 security forces and 3 station workers, a total of 8 people were injured. In the incident, 4 vehicles and natural gas pumps became unusable in the fire that broke out after the explosion. While it’s been thought that the explosion occurred due to a gas leakage in the station, a large number of firefighters were dispatched to the scene to extinguish the fire.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has appointed Andrey Nikitin as Deputy Minister of Transport, replacing Roman Starovoit. Nikitin had been serving as deputy since February. No official reason was given for Starovoit’s dismissal, though Russian media suggest the decision was made months ago. Nikitin pledged to improve Russia’s transportation sector, calling it essential for the country’s economy.
