The Saholan Water Cave of Iran, located 43 kilometers east of the Iranian city of Mahabad, is attracting many locals and foreigners with its nature. With a 63-meter-deep pond in it, the stunning cave offers visitors an exciting time.
“There is a landscape that presents the beauty of nature. There is a pond in it and they showed us around by boat. The depth of the water goes up to 63 meters. It is a magnificent geography,” said TÜRSAB Regional President Cevdet Özgökçe, coming from Türkiye with a group of board members.
“We descended exactly 80 meters from the surface, the interior is entirely made of limestone and full of stalactites. They are shaped like various figures. There are those that resemble birds and airplanes. We saw bat nests and lots of pigeons. It is an incredible place,” said Mountaineer Hacı Tansu, another board member.
