The Turkish Festival, held in Yoyogi Park in Tokyo, the capital of Japan, drew great attention from Japanese citizens on its first day. The participants were given the opportunity to try traditional Turkish cuisine and watch a traditional Turkish dance performance by Japanese dancers.
“Today we sell meatballs and fish bread. There is great demand and a long queue. We thank the Japanese who came here and everyone who showed interest,” said Ahmet Taşpınar, food vendor.
Yuki Adachi stated that he came to the festival to try Turkish delicacies with his friends and that he liked doner kebab the most.
