Several areas of western Thessaloniki, especially Polichni district, were flooded after a stream overflowed due to heavy rain. More than 300 calls to the fire department have been received throughout Northern Greece, with the majority being in Thessaloniki and Chalkidiki, due to water pumping, tree cutting, and moving people to safe regions. Citizens spent hours cleaning up the dirt in their yards.
