A small tornado occurred on a beach with people in the Serik district of Türkiye’s Antalya province due to strong winds. The tornado, which also caused a sandstorm, blew away sun loungers and umbrellas, giving people a hard time. Some holidaymakers fled the beach in panic.
Red Poppies Bloom in Southeastern Türkiye
In the Adilcevaz district of Bitlis province in eastern Türkiye, red poppies have started to bloom with the arrival of warmer weather and recent heavy rainfall.
The natural red flowers, which grow wild across the region, have turned large fields into a colorful landscape. Locals and visitors often stop to take photos of the scene, which has become a favorite among nature and photography lovers.
Orhan Emen, a local resident, said, “The poppies that bloom every year have returned. Due to the heavy rains, many fields have turned completely red. It’s a beautiful sight.”
