Thousands demonstrate against the Government in el salvador

Thousands of Salvadorans demonstrated in the streets of El Salvador’s capital against the government of Nayib Bukele on the 200th anniversary of the country’s independence. People protested against the decisions made in just over two years of administration, including the adoption of bitcoin and the president’s authoritarian drift. Some protesters set digital bitcoin wallet machine Chivo on fire, while others carried banners reading “Dictator Bukele: Respect the Constitution and No to Bitcoin.”
