The demonstrations that began on Tuesday after the police killed 17-year-old Algerian-born Nael M. in the suburb of Nanterre, the capital of France and turned into a chaos, continue despite increased security. On the third night of the demonstrations, demonstrators in Paris, Lille, Marseille and other cities set fire to public buildings, shops, ATMs and vehicles, and looted some stores. The entrance to the county council building in Clichy-sous-Bois set on fire as well. The number of detainees increased to 875. French Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne said there is a possibility of declaring a state of emergency.
