Türkiye agrees to back Sweden’s NATO bid, says Stoltenberg

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg held a press conference after the tripartite summit with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. Stoltenberg said in his speech that Türkiye and Sweden will cooperate on the fight against terrorism and that Erdogan will support Sweden’s NATO membership. Stoltenberg also said the relationship between the two countries would reach a whole new level.
