In Italy, temperatures are expected to rise to 48.8 degrees, leading to a red alert in multiple cities. One fatality has been reported so far in Italy due to the extreme heat. Concerns are growing over the potential for more heat-related deaths, with last year’s heatwave causing 60,000 fatalities across Europe. The recent June has been reported as the hottest month globally.
