Iranian President Ibrahim Reisi attended the 76th General Assembly of the United Nations (UN) in New York, USA, from Iran’s capital Tehran via video conference, and made his first speech at the UN General Assembly. Reisi said that the US is using the sanctions as a tool of war in his speech. He stated that Iran does not trust the US, but supports a negotiation process in which sanctions will be lifted. He also stated that the US should leave Syria and Iraq as it threatens the security and stability of the region.

Israel launched airstrikes on critical locations across Iran, including the Natanz nuclear facility and military targets in Tehran, Tabriz, Kermanshah, Khuzestan, Ilam, and Isfahan. The attacks reportedly killed Iranian Chief of Staff Mohammad Baqeri, IRGC Commander Hossein Salami, and six nuclear scientists.
Iranian media confirmed hits on multiple military bases and radar centers, with civilian casualties also reported. East Azerbaijan officials stated that three military sites were struck, leaving two dead and six injured.
