Both cities remain under high alert with warnings for residents to avoid windows. Despite this, no fatalities or infrastructure damages have been reported. There are conflicting reports about the progression of the war, with Russia claiming advances in Kupiansk and Ukraine stating they hold the initiative and have made gains in Bakhmut. Skirmishes are ongoing in Staromayorske, Donetsk region, where Ukraine is struggling to secure full control.
Student-led protesters in Serbia have blockaded state broadcasters RTS and RTV, demanding management overhaul or complete shutdown due to alleged biased reporting. Tents were set up outside buildings in Belgrade and Novi Sad, blocking entry and disrupting broadcasts. RTS called the blockade illegal, while RTV’s head labeled it “terrorism.”
The protests follow a deadly building collapse in Novi Sad that killed 15 people in November 2024. Despite government reshuffles and resignations, demonstrations persist. President Aleksandar Vucic dismissed the unrest as a failed “color revolution.”
